Borneo Reserve
The Borneo Reserve is vital in the conservation of the Bornean Orang-utan and other key species like the Sun Bear, Sunda Clouded Leopard, Marbled Cat, East Bornean Gray Gibbon and to date, the only place where the critically endangered Miller’s Grizzled Langur is found.

Total Size: 31,037 hectares
Conservation Partner: The Nature Conservancy (TNC) have worked with this community for over a decade. It is also a priority location for the conservation of the Bornean Orang-utan that can travel into nearby palm oil plantations.
Biodiversity: Home of the Bornean Orang-utan. Other key species include Sun Bear, Sunda Clouded Leopard, Marbled Cat, East Bornean Gray Gibbon and it is the only known location where the critically endangered Miller’s Grizzled Langur is found (feared extinct and rediscovered in 2012). Threatened bird species include the critically endangered Helmeted Hornbill as well as Great Argus and Storm’s Stork.
Deforestation Risk: This reserve is still classified as a logging concession and is close to the palm oil deforestation frontier putting a large number of threatened and endemic species at risk.
